General Publication Procedure
Articles previously unpublished in the following scientific specialty groups are accepted for publication: 5.2.1. Economic Theory, 5.2.3. Regional and Sectoral Economics, 5.2.5. World Economy, 5.2.6. Management, 5.4.2. Economic Sociology, 5.4.4. Social Structure, Social Institutions and Processes, 5.4.7. Sociology of Management.
The journal’s editorial board accepts an article for consideration provided it meets the requirements posted on the journal’s website and in current issues. All manuscripts submitted for publication in the “Electronic Economic Newsletter of the Republic of Tatarstan” undergo double-blind peer review and approval by the editorial board.
Initially, the manuscript is checked for compliance with the journal’s thematic scope and formal requirements. If non-compliant, the article is not accepted for consideration, and the author is notified accordingly.
Reviewers from the editorial board and external experts holding Candidate or Doctor of Sciences degrees, recognized specialists in the subject area of the reviewed articles, are engaged for the review process. The review procedure is anonymous for both the reviewer and the author (double-blind peer review).
The editorial board, at its meeting, reviews the submitted reviews and makes one of the following decisions:
- Recommend the article for publication without revisions;
- Return the article to the author for addressing the reviewer’s comments;
- Send the article for additional review;
- Reject the article (grounds for such decision must be stated).
A positive review does not always constitute sufficient grounds for recommending an article for publication. The final decision is made by the editorial board. In certain complex cases, the decision is made by the editor-in-chief.
The editorial board’s decision is communicated to the author via email. If the review contains recommendations for revisions, the journal’s editorial office sends the review text to the author, requesting that the comments be taken into account when preparing the new (revised) version or, if the author disagrees with the comments, that they be addressed with reasoned arguments (in full or in part). Revisions must not exceed two weeks from the date of the email sent to the author.
Upon receiving a positive decision from the editorial board, materials are placed in the editorial “portfolio” for subsequent publication. Articles are published in order of receipt or in accordance with the issue’s theme.
Reviews are stored in the journal’s editorial office for 5 years.
Materials not formatted according to the rules will be returned to the author for reformatting.
Adapted formatting rules for articles written in English are available on the Article Guidelines page.
